Health & Safety First
We’ve been through a pandemic together and are stronger for it. We know the COVID chapter has compromised celebrated Laker experiences but also believe it has made us think expansively about what it means to live in community and accomplish shared goals. As a community of learning, we believe the moral reasoning of young people benefits from a healthy tension between our obligations and our freedoms, and we are grateful for the chance to sharpen, with each of you, our ongoing responsibilities to our students and to one another via these protocols.
We have 5 priorities as a school that we hope are reflected in this policy:
1- A continued commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety
2- Providing the Laker experiences we love and need
3- An abiding attention and care for the most vulnerable among us
4- A spirit of goodwill and flexibility to accommodate a community of many needs
5- A habit of candor and respect to be a community that listens and communicates well
