How ULS Students Follow Their Interests and Get Involved
At ULS, it is our mission to develop the whole student.
We offer a wide variety of extracurricular clubs and activities that give students a chance to follow their interests, work with a team, hone leadership skills, and get involved to make a difference. Many student groups also find ways to include a service learning component.
Unique opportunities are tailored to match student interests in all divisions, and are led primarily by our faculty and staff.
Laker Spirit
For more than 50 years, ULS students have taken part in a variety of academic, charitable and athletic challenges throughout the school year as part of competitive team-building exercises. Students, families and faculty members are assigned to either the Hawks or the Eagles team. These friendly competitions emphasize and foster school spirit, sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership. The year-round events also build a sense of community and connection among students, parents and faculty.
For many students, Fall, Winter and Spring Field Days are the best three days of the year. Spring Field Day is the culminating event when the entire ULS community is invited to watch the final tug-of-war battle and enjoy a cookout for students, parents, faculty and staff. Go Lakers!
