  • Speech Pathologist 2025-26

Description

University Lake School (ULS) is a college preparatory school that delivers an incomparable education through the pursuit of academic excellence and the development of the whole student in a unique learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity, original thinking, personal integrity, and character through service.

Across all grade levels, we follow a student-centered approach to learning. Our students develop mastery of traditional fact and process-based standards while utilizing hands-on, developmentally sound lessons to regularly investigate and construct knowledge. Through a rigorous blend of student-led research, publishing, and presentation across the curriculum, our students develop the critical thinking and problem-solving abilities required for success in college and beyond.

Our curriculum is rich in a well-balanced combination of child and teacher-initiated projects to support the child's emerging interests as observed through play, photography, and documentation. There is a strong emphasis on creating an environment that supports reflective thinking for both children and staffulty, developing deep, meaningful relationships with the entire learning community, the environment, and helping children grow in awareness of others and respect for all.

We believe in the power of a participatory school environment and expect our students to become deeply involved in all facets of their school experience. Each of our graduates departs to college as a multi-accomplished academic scholar, field researcher, student-athlete, performing artist, community servant, and peer mentor. This approach, steeped in the tradition of the liberal arts, provides students with the strongest foundation for individual enrichment and lifelong success.

Beginning in 2024 and thanks to a generous $2.75 million grant from Lauren ('01) and Michael Falk, ULS shall establish the Falk Family Center for Learning Engagement - a program embedded into our student experience to cultivate the highest level of learning for all students at ULS.
