- Sunny Pines Summer Camp Counselor
Description
We are seeking caring, patient, friendly, and energetic camp counselors to join our team this summer for Sunny Pines Summer Camp. Every week, camp counselors will work with campers ages 2 years old to 10 years old to dive into the great outdoors with exciting forest expeditions, sports explorations, art, reading, language, scientific discovery, and more. Camp counselors will work alongside experienced teachers to provide a safe, fun, enriching environment for children to learn and explore.
Duties will include:
- Manage a mixed-aged group of campers for grades K2-6. Depending on skill and interest, you may be assigned to Seedlings (ages 2-3), Saplings (ages 4-5), or Sprouts (ages 6-10)
- Help to plan, lead, and implement high-quality educational and recreational activities.
- Ensure the safety and general wellbeing of campers.
- Record and track childrens’ allergies, dietary restrictions and other health plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation in a log book, including incident reports and daily attendance.
- Mediate disputes between campers.
- Know and enforce safety guidelines, including knowledge of campers’ location at all times.
- Daily parent communication.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
- First aid and basic safety training recommended
- Experience in a camp program, working with children, or in a related field preferred
Work Hours and Benefits:
Sunny Pines runs from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, from June 10 - August 9, excluding the week of July 1-5. Part-time and full-time positions are available.
